Yes, her wittiness was mostly reserved for things dripping in innuendo, not so much recovering from quite a shock. Well, at least when the shock was not masked by more innuendo. Defense mechanism or not, it had certainly seemed to help even just a smidge back in the Circean, in distracting herself.
Horrible joke or not, he still laughed, which further served to make this all feel like they were at the tail end of most of the craziness. And less likely to worry about it going further downhill. Az laughed herself, at his response, and she sent him a wink he should know by now was coming, light or no light. Along with a cheekily thrown, "Oh you know you're welcome to rub me down anytime Jebby, suncream or no suncream." Before, of course, she popped into the bathroom for the kit.
While she could quite likely clean up more often in her own everyday life, the fact was that she had always had at least the occasional maid service to handle things like bathrooms and really messy things. It had almost been sort of fun, she would admit, to have washed her own dishes by hand at his place before they had moved in together. In one of his t-shirts and nothing else, and yes, playing a bit more in the bubbles than was strictly necessary. A simple moment, before she had leant up to kiss him again, grinning all the while.
Az had had more fun running around in his white cotton t-shirt and washing dishes with him, than she had had in expensive designer gown at opera house with a just as expensively dressed executive something or other.
"Well," she spoke after looking at him, the dog, the cat and the ruined room. "It certainly will be one to remember." The first aid kit she held in her hand seemed nearly foreign, as she remembered what they were supposed to be doing. "Okay, well, what do you want me to do?" Az looked to her boyfriend for direction, because she knew that he had to have far more experience at this than she. If only by the virtue of her barely knowing what was even in a first aid kit.
