Eyelids fluttering closed, as the warmth of Jeb's arms surrounded her, Az simply spent a few heartbeats breathing in his familiar scent. To be fully engulfed in her arms, she had to stretch her smaller and shorter body upwards, standing nearly on her tiptoes. She rested the side of her cheek against his throat and under his jaw. Each of her arms was around him, her hands clutching at the backs of his shoulder blades. Although she still held the small bottle of medication in the fingers of her right hand.
Almost nothing else mattered, as long as she could see that he was okay, and they were together.
"I'm fine, I'm fine," she assured him softly, repeating the statement for both of their sakes. Eyes opening back up when he pulled back to look at her, and she met his gaze as evenly as possible. "I was at the Circean, at Muse's show." A slow breath, one of her hands covering his over her cheek, the feel of his fingers beneath hers a comfort. "I was just going to tell her that I liked her music, and the ship tried to turn over on us." She pressed her lips together for a moment, remembering the fear she had felt as she had been thrown back, and nearly over the railing. But still, she did not want him worrying, especially now that it was over.
It was over. Everything was going to be okay, right?
Her hand moved to touch the bandage on her cheek with one finger, before moving back down to his hand again. For a moment she closed her eyes again, only to open them on the next breath. "I caught myself from falling, and then ended up with Jamie and Brodie against the wall." Both men were still at Apollon's, as far as she knew, they had been hurt pretty bad. "They're musicians in the band, one was stabbed...stabbed by part of his guitar when it broke. The other broke some of his ribs." She was thankful to be relatively injured, at least compared to them, although she was not exactly cheering that strangers had been more hurt than she.
With a glance down at Jeb's hand, she noticed the dried blood there, and sent him a worried look. "What happened to you?" Az looked down to the white dog on the floor, "What happened to Nikko? Are you okay?"
