When Cami sat up, she gasped in pain and closed her eyes against the spinning room. She sat there for a couple of minutes, trying to force away the nausea the pain had caused. Once she felt marginally better, she opened her eyes and looked for Alli. When she saw her curled up in a ball and crying, her heart broke. "Alli baby? Come here, sweetie." Broken arm be damned, she was going to hold her daughter.
Alli looked up at her mom, her face scared. She crawled over and sat down on Cami's lap. "Mommy? I's scared." She started crying again and pressed herself into Cami.
Cami ignored the pain she was feeling and hugged Alli to her. She kissed the top of her head. "It's okay baby. It's over. It's okay," she murmured softly. Her eyes opened over Alli's head and she looked at Jason.
"I think my arm's broken and I probably have a concussion and maybe a cracked rib," she told him softly. She tried to reach out with her free hand, which happened to be her broken arm and couldn't quite make it. "Are you okay? You don't look okay..."
