Cami looked at the picture the two of them made...they were so precious together. Jason is a wonderful father and Cami had no doubt he would continue to be. She could feel her eyes welling up and dipped her head so Jason wouldn't see. It upset him when she got upset. To hide her tears, she bent to kiss Alli's head too. She stroked her cheek. "No, let's spend it with her...just like this," Cami whispered.
She felt a wave of nausea hit her. The damn boat was making her so seasick. She quickly leaned away from her daughter and threw up into the awaiting plastic bag. There was nothing left in her stomach for her to throw up, so it was just painful dry heaving at this point. Cami hated it. Once she was finished, she knotted the bag and threw it in the trash with the other bags. She rinsed her mouth out and wiped a cool washcloth over her forehead.
Cami looked at the clock. Twenty seconds till midnight. She leaned to Jason and looked him in the eye. "I love you. With all my heart." She laid her hand on Alli's head and tangled her fingers into her blond curls. "You're both my world, my strength. Never forget how much I love you."
