Re: Brodie & Muse
When the ship finally stopped rocking it seemed like a miracle. Brodie followed Jamie the hell out of there and to where someone could take care of them.
He didn't know this, but doctors didn't really do much for broken ribs. They just gave pain medication, something to prevent inflammation and something to cough, apparently. Which was what happened to him. Well, that and gauze wrapped somewhat tightly around his chest. He'd been warned to try not moving abruptly, and that he should look out for anything remotely hinting at lung perforation. Strangely, Brodie had also been told to cough often, even thought it would hurt quite a lot. Something about pneumonia.
He took the meds, thanked the doc and walked over to Jamie, who was recuperating from the stitches by way of OJ and cookies.
"Hey, you got comfort food!" He said, but didn't steal any. Jamie needed it more than he did.
Suddenly, it was like an accident all over again. He felt something throw itself on him and ruining the effects his first cocktail of pills had been working on.
"OOOOOOH!" Brodie screamed loudly, rolling his eyes almost to the back of his head. "Muse, fuck!"
He was glad she was alright, but too much pain did not let him say so. Hell it didn't even let him think.
