Re: OTA
Savannah whimpered and CJ leaned close to murmur in her ear. Everything was going to be fine. After the fact he couldn't even remember the exact words he'd whispered to her and they probably didn't matter. He just wanted her to know he was there.
She was concerned about her twin sister of course and CJ only nodded his response to her request. He doubted he'd see Samantha before Savannah did unless of course Samantha happened to be wherever they were taking Savannah. He had no intention of ditching out on her until he was absolutely certain she was alright. Then he supposed he'd make himself useful and help clean up the bodies, alive or dead.
He had to let go of her and move aside when the pretend EMT started working her over but he stayed close, his eyes vigilant. If one of them did something wrong and hurt her, they were gonna get a fist in the face or his foot up their ass.
Savannah spoke again and he met her gaze. She didn't have to thank him. He didn't do anything anyone else wouldn't have done. He gave her a smile and gently touched her arm as they lifted her.
