Sean groaned as he struggled upright, then sat back down on the floor. Everything was still spinning. He couldn't see out of one eye and there was a terrible throbbing behind it. He reached up and felt blood. He had a gash or a cut across his right temple, through his eyebrow that had somehow missed his eyelid and eye. He couldn't see for the blood, and there was swelling, possibly around the eye as well.
He tried to reach for his shirt with his left hand, to wipe away some of the blood, only to find the limb unresponsive. With that came the agonizing awareness that his shoulder had been dislocated. Fuck. His arm was soaked and looking with his good eye he could see it was clear liquid, not blood. His leg, however, had a two inch shard of glass sticking from his thigh. Double fuck. Working on adrenalin more than actual thought, Sean tucked his good hand into his jacket sleeve and used that to pull the glass free. There, that didn't hur.... Aaaargh!
He tried to recall what he'd been doing, if he'd been with anyone, but his head was throbbing so hard... the momentary loss of immediate memory gave him more sympathy for Molly. MOLLY! Where was she?
Then he heard the groans, the weeping, someone screaming with hysteria to his right and someone screaming in agony to his left. He managed to get up with his good hand to see a kid, the security guard from the fight the other night, emerge and start checking strewn bodies. Kaz was up and helping people. Hell of a finish to a show.
He'd been here with someone hadn't he? Sydney. Where was Sydney? Where was Mol?
Weeping, yes, wounded, terrified people. He had no fucking clue what had happened, but that didn't change the immediate needs even as the kid pleaded for people to start helping one another. There was no sign of Sydney in his immediate vicinity. He had recalled grabbing her arm on the first shift… yeah. Pieces were falling into place. Then he had her by the waist as they slid back over the floor. But at some point he’d lost her. Likely when something heavy had hit him in the shoulder.
Sean managed to avoid stepping on anyone, noting none were Sydney, as he made a limping approach to Kaz, as he appeared stronger than the kid in the security uniform. No spurts of blood from his leg, just sharp agony. Nothing major cut. "I'll be able to help better with two arms. Think you can take hold and pull." He gestured to the rock star. "It's dislocated."
