It was lucky that the male next to her covered her, she could hear the ceramic pieces clatter around them, and practically taste the dust of them in the air. "It's okay," Az answered a bit dazedly. Not so much from any sort of head injury, as her head did not hurt, but simply from the sudden wheel of events shifting.
All around them she could hear clatters and crashes, as the entire room became chaos. When the man moved away, she now had attached the label of 'Jamie' to him (if only because he had seemed to respond to it), Az's dark eyes caught and held on the scene below. At least one person seemed to have fallen down the stairs, and she could only recall with sickening clarity that she herself had nearly fallen over the railing.
