Jasper was quickly learning that the underside of the second floor banister was not the place to be. While one sway of the ship might allow him a reprieve, the other direction meant that everything not tied down came crashing through the overhang towards him. This was only amplified by the fact that nothing seemed to be tied down. Plus, he had to hold on. Though he could do this for a short period of time, he wasn't all that certain he could manage it till the rocking was over, since it didn't seem to be ending any time soon.
It was during one of the sessions were things came crashing over the edge that his eyes locked with Muse's, his first thought being that she was on the right side of the balcony banister. His second, though, was 'Thank God, she's alive' since the stage had seemed like a perfect spot to send her tumbling down to the first floor in one blow. When she reached out to him, Jasper took a deep breath and pulled himself up, back over the railing, grabbing her hand as he moved to join her at the post. "Hey," he said, voice shaking slightly. "Happy New Year."
