Matt smiled at the red haired girl. Being thanked felt really good, but he wasn't sure he deserved it. "Ah, don't worry about it. You've been awesome." At least he didn't have to put the brace on Chelsea himself. Not many of those in the desert and Matt had no idea how to do it.
If Matt believed in God he would've thanked Him now for the medical staff having showed up to take care of Chelsea and the other girl he hadn't caught the name of.
He let her go as they took care of her, but gave her a smile when she asked about visitations. "Of course everyone's going." He didn't even know her, but what was he going to say? 'Oh, I don't know, maybe if I have the time'? Her friends would certainly go. And if it came to that, so would he. "Oh, and before you go? If I heard correctly and you did Daytona, you're the coolest person I know right now."
He turned to Ella and gave her a hopeful smile and a shrug. At least the injury count on their part wasn't huge; looking around he could see there were people in quite a worse state at the moment.
