Re: ...continued from up top
Ella had decided to check out the Tumbler Renegade show. She was in the mood to rock out some - get out some aggression. The deck looked awesome, with the floor over the pool and all. She saw Chelsea there, but decided to go on the other side of the dance floor to avoid her. She had some kind of fruity drink in one hand, her other arm flung over her head and she was dancing away.
And suddenly the floor exploded and the ship tilted, sending everyone flying into the pool. Ella felt her glass break in her hand, glass flying and cutting her fingers, arm and chest. That was the least of her worries however, because soon she was thrown into the pool. The pool full of the glass floor and people. And blood.
Ella heard screaming. She realized she was screaming to and tried to be quiet. She had almost pulled herself out of the water when the boat tipped again, sending her flying into the other pool wall. She caught the wall with her stomach and she heard the sickening crack of ribs. She didn't have time to react before she was thrown again, this time she sank under what water was left in the pool and braced herself for the hardness of the wall. She held her breath under the water until the boat stopped rocking.
She had to claw her way to the surface. People were on top of her and she was getting kicked in the head. She saw a couple of people face down and she quickly turned them over so they wouldn't drown. She was lightheaded with pain; her ribs definitely being broken and her various cuts burning from the water.
Ella pulled herself out of the pool and sat on the side to stop her head from spinning. She looked over and saw Chelsea on the ground not looking so good. Her heart jumped and she rushed over. She crouched down beside Chelsea. She soothed her hand over her forehead, careful not to jostle her. “Hey sweetie,” she crooned.
Ella looked to the man sitting beside her and recognized Matt. “Matt! Are you okay? Is Chelsea okay?”
