"Oh, I see. That's a pretty smart idea," she countered, shrugging one shoulder lightly. "Me, I don't think I could possibly read a book on a cruise. Don't get me wrong, I like reading and all that, but there's just so much to do here..." She gave a sheepish little grin. "And its my first time on a fancy cruise-ship. I never would've guessed they were this big. Spent the morning of my first day here getting lost, then the afternoon trying to find my way back to my room." She paused, albeit briefly, to take a sip of her drink, before continuing. "And to think I wouldn't even be here if my parents hadn't gone and entered me into that contest. They think I'm overworked or something." Melissa smirked, rolling her eyes lightly.
Oh yes, it didn't take the girl much to start rambling, but at least she had some manners. Her brow rose. "Shoot, I'm being so rude, ain't I? Sorry, I'm Melissa."
