The book was a piece of crap. Gor had paged through it, but only because it was part of negotiation. It was either read the book or forget about bringing his D&D books. Bianca seemed to love rubbing in the fact he was still a minor and subject to her rules...when she chose to enforce them.
Of course, paging through the book was somewhat different than reading it.
"Trust-building exercises like falling backwards and letting people lead you around while you're blind-folded. That kind of crap." Gor had mostly just looked at the pictures and illustrations. "There are some worksheets we're supposed to be filling out with each activity." He shrugged. "What we learned and how it makes us feel when there's a fight. You know."
This sort of thing probably would have worked for his parents 19 years ago when they first started having problems. They were too far gone now, both of them, and Gor had absolutely no hope for any of them.
