Normally, Brodie didn't swim, much less in public. But something about the mild rain was a bit enticing, and he had ended up finding himself in swim trunks, already there.
He knew he couldn't take long, that at some point in time that afternoon, before the concert, he'd have to go to sound check. And before that, he would have to have a nice full meal, to make up for all the other ones he skips.
But that didn't mean he couldn't at least get wet, swim a few pools and have a little wet fun.
He noticed someone else there, right at the exact moment of a well-executed cannonball. Brodie remembered his childhood fondly, because that was the only time he ever did cannonballs; after that he became way too skinny not to be ridiculous at cannonballing, seeing as he probably wouldn't even do a splash.
The texting with Jamie prevented him from diving into the pool just yet, but he didn't mind just sitting on a chaise lounge for a minute, but the water seemed to keep calling to him. He finally set his phone on the chair, next to his towel, and dove in. Unfortunately, he dove a little too close to the girl, who happened to be on the same side of the pool as him, only inside. Once Brodie resurfaced, he turned to her. "I'm sorry, did I splash you?"
