His voice startled her back to reality as Eve nearly jumped from the bed, a little bit embarrassed.
"Aw, thank you." She said smiling. Eve rolled off the bed quickly and walked to Jack, slowly but steadily. She took her clothes back from his hands, but wasn't really looking at him this time. That weird feeling had been chasing her ever since she'd woken up, and it was back with full force again. She didn't really know how to categorize it, probably because she'd never felt like this before, at least from what she remembered.
It was odd and unsettling, and the little cynical part of Eve's 'soul' was telling her it was just residual stuff from what had happened the night before. Except she'd had a few nights generally like this one, only not quite.
She unintentionally shook her head, trying to physically brush it off. Without saying another word, she walked back into Jack's bathroom and started stripping down, and while she dropped Jack's clothes on the floor - at least it was clean, and she would pick them up as soon as she could - she quickly threw her own clean garments on. It didn't take her that long at all.
Looking into the mirror, fully aware that not much could be done about her hair, she was glad that at least it looked fairly good on its own. Eve came out of the bathroom fully clothes and with Jack's clothes folded quite neatly. She set those on the bed, and turned around to face him.
