This looked like an extremely awkward situation. Not the waking up with Eve, because while he was not exactly sure of his footing there, it was not as if he suddenly stopped thinking she was an interesting person because they had slept together. This was not exactly his first time waking up to one of the female persuasion, so that could have been the more awkward part in another situation.
All of a sudden he was feeling as if he had put his foot wrong somewhere along the way, and his usually cheery mood was as faded as his grin. Even while he pulled it back up by sheer force of will.
Reading Eve's expression made that mood upping even more difficult, but he managed by the skin of his teeth. What little he did know about how the mind of a woman worked only told him that asking again might just upset her more. Which left him with odd options to choose from, while he did his best to conceal his ... man reaction (as he had heard it called somewhere, he forgot where0>
"Do you want breakfast?" he asked, hoping that it might be at least a step towards figuring out just what was under Eve's skin at the moment.
