As soon as Jack removed his hand from her waist, it was like a broken spell, and Eve moved, turned around and actually sat up. He was probably not used to waking up snuggling up to a near stranger. Neither was Eve, she didn't snuggle. Most of the time she didn't even do that much sleeping in these cases.
She nodded at his comment about the time, but didn't add to it. God, this was actually beginning to feel awkward. Eve, the shameless, wasn't so much so anymore.
"Nothing." She said, her expression unchanged. Still, it wasn't as peaceful as usual, because her brow seemed heavier somehow. Finally, for the sake of keeping it in a good mood, she tried for a smile that didn't reach her eyes.
