Jamie was sorted out. And pretty soon, Brodie would be too; he was exhausted and sleepy and wasn't really thinking straight anymore.
Sure, his room was almost just across the hall from Jamie's, but in reality the hall was long and his room was sort of hidden by the staircase. It would still be pretty stupid to stay there, although all Brodie wanted was to crash anywhere at this point.
He decided, however, to 'go home' and leave Jamie a note, explaining why the hell he'd be waking up in a costume, and whatever else.
Jamie,
You injured your knee, I brought you here, you took painkiller and dozed off massively, (apparently it makes you naughty but we'll not get into that) I dragged you off to bed (but did not want to deal with your clothes) and went to my own bed. See you at soundcheck, thanks.
Brodie
So the thanks was there. Jamie would have to figure it out and Brodie hoped he was right in his assumptions, otherwise Brodie could just pawn it off to his own sleepiness - saying he'd meant "Bye" instead.
And off to the Poet's corner he went, positive he'd simply crash into the first soft surface he found once he got there.
