"Yeah, well, I don't wish it upon you," he laughed, nodding down at his glass and giving the bartender a small smile to indicate he'd like a refill. "That's the thing, yeah. I'm there to help them, but they're only there because they have to be. Some people don't take it all that well."
He couldn't help chuckling a little when she expressed her confusion at what he'd said. "It's all right. I'm pretty sure you're not missing anything by not knowing," he said, assuming she meant that she didn't know where Pittsburgh (or maybe even Pennsylvania) was, since she'd been the one to mention New York City. "Pennsylvania's kind of an armpit," he complained. "Not as bad as Jersey, but still," he added with a smirk.
"Thanks," he said to the bartender as his rum and coke was replenished. He took a drink and looked back at Sarita. "So why are you all by yourself? That's kind of sad, a nice girl like you having to deign to talk to me for entertainment," he teased.
