He blinked, then peered at her. Then his eyebrows lifted.
"Oh! Hey! Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't recognize you without the ominous lighting," he said, then smiled. "It's nice to see you're going well, though. If you are. Did you make it back to your cabin and everything alright?" he asked, genuinely concerned about how she'd fared after they'd parted ways.
"Yeah. It's my night off. I finally get to have a beer without fear of reprimand," he chuckled.
