With one look at the woman who sat on the other side of him, Micah could tell she was probably about as thrilled at being out and about as he was. He couldn't help smiling to himself over the edge of his glass as he took a drink. At least it didn't seem like he was alone in forcing himself out of his digs. The cruise had seemed like a good idea at the time and Micah really was a people person, mostly, but he couldn't quite shake the discomfort and awkwardness he felt every time he left his room. It was like he felt he didn't belong and he'd already blamed it on the idea that he'd won a ticket he hadn't even known he'd been entered into the contest for. He felt like he didn't really deserve the vacation as much as the other guys at the office who'd actually known they were trying to win something.
"Not big on the social scene, either, huh?" he asked the woman genially, giving her an understanding smile. He took another drink and looked straight ahead again, in case him looking right at her would make her uncomfortable. It'd probably make him uncomfortable if the tables were turned, seeing as how she was a complete stranger.
