Miguel turned slightly when he heard his name, and he grinned at the arrival of his brother-in-law and...date? "Jack," he greeted him as he crossed the floor, reaching out to grasp his hand in that two-handed handshake again.
"/So you came after all!/" Miguel had been wondering if he would show up... He glanced over the outfit with a laugh. "/You look like the man at the circus who flies out of the cannon!/"
Nevermind he had missed the point of the costume entirely...
"/It doesn't take you long to meet girls, does it?/" he asked, teasing. He had been hoping to hang out with Jack tonight -- but that looked a little impossible now. Well, that meant he could return to his room early tonight, likely. And that was good news. Still, he was a polite man, and he wouldn't retreat without a hello to the young woman.
He put a hand to his heart, and said, "Miguel. Capitan Miguel," he amended after a moment, with a tip of his broad hat.
