Sasha nodded exaggeratedly and gave Lucy a poor attempt at a bear costume thumbs up so she wouldn't need to respond on the paper and headed over to the bar. She didn't think about the situation until she got to the bar, that she was under age and they may not serve her. Was there something about being in "international"'ish waters that you only need to be 18 to order drinks? She decided to do her best to play it cool and just order from her bear suit. They'd just assume she belonged, she figured. If not, she'd just tell them the truth. She wanted a Squirt and the sour apple martini would be for her deaf friend over there. She'd point and all would be good.
All her worrying was for nothing, however. When she got there she asked through her costume for the drinks and straws and paid from a little pouch in her costume. It worked out well. When she headed back the table and set them down she smiled at Lucy through her mask, thinking how interesting it would be to drink through the straw and her mask. She looked down at the paper and instead of seeing words she saw Lucy's drawing.
It was a beautiful drawing, of course, but there was something disturbing about it. How could Lucy capture her that way? It was unnerving. How could someone who couldn't even speak or hear her have such an understanding? Still she couldn't say anything about it. Instead she grabbed a piece of napkin and wrote "Sour apple martini, Madame!"
