It would have been difficult to miss Miguel's suddenly sad tint to his expression, but Jack felt that no comment was needed on the turn of his mood. Not that it had been a far turn, seeing as the love was still there, plain to see.
"/Definitely. Right after we redock this ship./" The invitation to a party with Miguel's family was on that Jack would gladly accept, he might not have seen them in apparently too long, but he had loved being in the midst of everything. The kind of barely controlled chaos one of those parties entailed was appealing to him, more his element than anything else.
The pairing of his fiery little protester of a sister Katie to Miguel's brother Nicolas might have seemed like an oddly balanced match, due to the discrepancies in their raising. But, the wedding had showed to everyone that the two families were able to meld nearly seamlessly. As was the tradition in Mexico, and with Mexican families, the wedding had been about the two families coming together. Not just the two people at its heart.
Jack nodded on a laugh, "/Of course. Katie said she saw the baby a month ago, I think? Hasn't stopped talking about babies and 'tiny shoes' ever since./" He really would not be surprised if his sister soon announced that she wanted one of her own, it was only a matter of time. Not that that would stop his munchkin of a sister (she was 5'3" after all, and quite short to his mind) from launching protests on everything from the Immigration Service to those against California Prop 8 a year or so back.
