With a tilt of his shoulders, Jack returned the handshake avidly, the broad grin never leaving his mouth. It was, in his opinion, extraordinarily good luck to run into Miguel. Partially because he had been lost, although that fact had already slipped his mind at that time, and partially just because he was glad to see him. They had not seen each other in awhile (Jack had been busy with school, had been one factor in that), so seeing him again was just...great.
"/Awesome, man./" Personally he could care less about the legality of Miguel's employment, even if that was a touchy subject for many. He might have grown up in a somewhat privileged family, but he had gone to school with kids who did not exactly have green cards. In that close proximity, you just never learned that 'illegal immigration' was necessarily a bad thing.
Jack nodded, with a bit more enthusiasm than most would put into the movement. "/Yeah, I threw my name into some contest. Surprised me when I won, that's for sure. Just finished school, so it was perfect timing wise./"
