Distracted as he was, Jack had been peering out a window, he did not see the other man coming. And therefore was an easy target to be nearly knocked into. Jack was not offended, naturally, by the fact that he was nearly run over. After all, he really should have been paying more attention, now he had gotten in someone's way.
"/Hey, no problem/," the response came in Spanish before Jack could even consciously analyze that they were not speaking English. It just made sense, he heard Spanish, he spoke Spanish. No big deal. "/I should have been.../"
His eyes widening comically, Jack recognized the man in front of him, even as his name was being said. "Miguel!" A wide grin broke out, almost too big for Jack's face. The surprise that his sister's brother-in-law (although Jack just tended to label him as his own brother-in-law for simplicity's sake) was on board was enough to make the young man smile. Although, truthfully, not much really was necessary to get Jack grinning. "/Man, I had no idea you were on this ship! How are you?/"
For a moment Jack forgot all about food, which was a massive statement in and of itself. He rocked back on his heels, hands going into his pockets, as he greeted the one person he knew on the entire ship so far.
