Sasha stumbled into the rock show. She wasn't really wanting to be around a whole lot of people but she had to admit she was a little lonely. She was friendly with people at work at home and she didn't seem to have that hear. The vacation part didn't seem to matter. So she trodded into the rock party, not really expecting much. At least the music would be fun, she told herself.
She piddled about, walking, getting a coke and finally setting herself up at an abandoned table. She bussed the left behind cups wordlessly leaving them at the bar, saying a word to no one, and settled in at a chair. She watched, in growing happiness, as the band played. She wondered if she'd ever have the nerve to do something like that. Playing cello was fun but often boring in front of others. People didn't get excited about cello like they do about singing and guitar. She wondered if she should teach herself guitar. It wouldn't be hard. She smiled. Or she could get strong and do electric guitar like Rasputina. That'd rock.
She was bopping her head, enjoying the music when she noticed the woman in front of the speakers. Ordinarily she would ignore it, but it seemed peculiar. After all, that should really be hurting her ears. Out of concern, and mostly curiosity, Sasha moved toward the woman.
"Hi!" She yelled, trying to reach above the music. "Isn't this a bit loud??" She yelled again but realized she wasn't getting through so tapped on the woman's shoulder, hoping to get her attention.
