Leto had thoroughly enjoyed the concert - it made her feel like she was nineteen all over again. Back in the day she'd been really into Philadelphia's live music scene, though she hadn't been quite as bad of a party animal as some of her wilder friends. She was usually the designated driver, the more leveled one of her group of friends. Still, the concert took her back, and she was glad Alex had suggested they go - even if he had been joking about it at the time.
When the band finished Leto put her fingers in her mouth and whistled, and bounced in place a bit as the DJ came on and continued to play rock tracks. She stepped away from her brother to head over to the bar and get another drink - non-alcoholic, of course - when she bumped right into Noah. "Oh! Hey! Sorry!"
Noah went to the concert after all. He was very proud of himself. He didn't even jump out of his skin much at all the loud noises. He was feeling parched so he went to the bar to grab a coke. He had taken an extra anti-anxiety pill tonight and knew it wasn't not at all smart to mix with alcohol. He was just turning around when he bumped into Leto.
Noah grabbed Leto by the arms. "Whoa there," he laughed. "You okay?"
"Yeah, I'm fine! Been a while since I've been in a crowd like this," she explained. "I think the whole ship is here! How did you like the band?" She'd really enjoyed them - they played enough covers that she recognized, and their originals were good.
"They were great!" Noah smiled, a rare twinkle in his eye. "Where's Levon tonight? You here by yourself?"
"My dad is watching him, it's way past his bedtime." Leto answered, grinning. "I'm here with my brother! Trying to make him not act his age. It's healthy to do that once in a while."
Noah laughed. "I take it he's too serious sometimes?"
"Oh no, he can be a great goof when he wants to be. Still." Leto said, shrugging. "He's great with Levon, always encouraging him to try and drive me crazy. We took him to the dance show earlier, it was great. Did you go?"
"Dance show?" Noah asked. "I must have missed that. All I did today was eat lunch at the Grand Buffet and sit out and enjoyed the view." Noah shrugged. "I've been forcing myself to be more sociable. I almost didn't come tonight, but I'm really glad I did. I got to hear a great band and bump into you!" Noah grinned at her, delighted at the turn of events.
"I've just been having a lot of family time - it's been great though." Leto said, smiling brightly. "Want to head to the bar? I'm parched." she said, holding up her empty water bottle. "Meet anyone interesting?"
"Sure," Noah walked towards the bar. He ordered a water for her and another coke for himself. He waited for the bartender to fill their order and handed her the bottle of water. He took a long drink of his coke. "Ahh, coke. The fuel of life," he laughed.
"I did meet someone interesting at lunch...Lynne. She was going to be here with a friend."
"Thanks," Leto thanked him for the water, not intending to have him pay for her, but knowing better than to argue with guys over that sort of thing. "I told you everyone's here." she said, chuckling faintly. "Except my dad and Levon." She really hoped her dad didn't have trouble getting Levon to sleep. He had ingested a lot of sweets tonight.
"Should we go find your brother? Wouldn't want him to worry that you got lost in the crowd," Noah said. He was feeling oddly happy. He didn't know if it was the good music or the great company that was causing his good mood, but he definitely didn't want it to stop.
"Sure, I wouldn't want him to think I ditched him. This isn't really his scene." Now to go about actually finding him - that could prove to be a challenge!
