"Oh?" Az questioned when Aileen mentioned that she was still working, while onboard the cruise. "What do you do?" Perhaps it was a bit blunt to simply ask straight out what the other woman's profession was, not even softened with a 'if you don't mind me asking.' How she saw it, saw the question, was a bit different that some people might. After all, if she had been asked the same exact question, without subtlety, she would claim no offense or upset.
Admittedly, Az had had the odd urge to ask instead 'What do you do for money, honey?' But she had quelled it, she did not even really listen to AC/DC after all, and this would seem an odd place to suddenly reference a rock group. It must have been the ad exec in her, who paired up thoughts and products with music and flashy imagery. It was what made her so good at her job.
At the mention of 'obnoxious males,' Az's nose wrinkled. Not because of the male part, she definitely loved those of the male persuasion. More for those who fell into the obnoxious or stalker category. With a quick grin at the redhead's addition to the concept, Az flashed pearly white teeth. "Men are all well and good, especially of the studly variety, but sometimes a girl just needs to be surrounded with her fellow females. Where you can truly relax."
A new arrival joined the other three, and Az felt the spark of excitement at actually getting some time with a small group of women around her own age. "Hello." She smiled back at the youngest of the group, "Felt the need for some pampering too?"
