"It's just weird how perfect a fit that is for you," Lynne said with a small shrug. She didn't want to make him uncomfortable, but she couldn't stop herself from voicing the opinion once it hit her. She'd take it back, if she could, but it had already been said.
Lynne returned his smile, glad to see that she hadn't managed to somehow offend him with her suggestion that he get out. "You should. I heard they're really good," she said. "The band that's playing, that is."
He didn't care whether she was eating or not and she was hungry, so she told herself just to have at it. It was only a salad, anyway. So, after a little silent pep talk for herself, she took another bite of the salad. After chewing and swallowing, Lynne took a sip of her drink. "So, tell me," she said slowly, "are you planning on coming out more often than just to eat? Or are you kinda like me and aren't really sure whether you'd rather be alone or surrounded by people?" She gave him a small smirk. He'd said he wasn't used to being alone but had followed up a little later by saying he wasn't sure he was going to the rock show later which was slightly contradictory. She couldn't help herself from picking on him a little bit for it, good naturedly.
