Surrender [21 May 2009|03:04am]
Who: Lisa, Sean, Molly, and Chelsea
When: After the ship-wide meeting
Where: The Mirror Room

Lisa sat in the white armchair in her room, her arms tightly hugging her body in an attempt to stop shivering. It was a futile effort, despite the heat. Fear seemed to gnaw at her stomach as she waited for her visitors to arrive. Her eyes, reddened from the worried tears she had been shedding, focused on the briefcase sitting on the mirrored coffee table in front of the armchair, but her mind was somewhere else entirely. Could she really go through with this? Would she have the courage, or would her conviction desert her when she was face to face with her friends and leave her stumbling for an excuse for having called them there? And if she managed to say what she needed to say, how would they take it? Badly, she was sure. This wasn't going to be pleasant.

There was a knock at the door, pulling her eyes away from the briefcase. Oh God, it's time. "Just a second," she called out as she rose from the seat. Her legs felt wobbly, and she prayed they wouldn't give out on her as she walked across the room. She paused at the door for just a second to summon up her courage, then opened it.

Great Minds [21 May 2009|04:53pm]
Who: Cath, Res, and Keane
When: After the ship-wide meeting
Where: Homer's Study

Cathair had managed to get Maeve to let him out of her sight long enough to meet with Res and Keane alone about the guns she'd taken. He'd promised to be in the library, so that he was easily located and well, it was his territory. Tactically, it was better than meeting them alone on neutral ground.

This was going to be tough. As easy as it'd been to win respect and trust of others, Res looked like a tougher nut to crack. He couldn't blame her. His cover had been designed to make him as uninteresting and unnoticeable as possible. And likely worked a bit too well, since now he was having to prove he wasn't just a bookworm.

She had them by the balls with the guns and he knew it. )
