[19 Apr 2009|03:56pm]
Who: Erik and Open
Where: Outside the spa
When: 2pm

Erik was on his way back to work after a short lunch break. One of the massage therapists had disappeared and he was extra busy. He liked his work though - even though he missed his daughter, April.

Even though he know it would be futile, Erik pulled out his cell phone and tried to get a signal. There wasn't one of course, but he had to try. He hadn't spoken with April since New Years and he didn't like that. He tried emailing but apparently the internet was down too.

Erik sighed and scrubbed a hand down his face. He flexed his fingers to work out the kinks before he had to go back inside. He leaned his tall frame over the rail and let the wind ruffle his short hair. If he weren't anxious to see his daughter again, this might have been a great vacation. He sighed again and turned to go back inside.

Grilling the Chef [19 Apr 2009|04:05pm]
Who: Sean, Kevin
When: 11sies am
Where: smoking area closest to the Galley

Sean found Kevin where he half expected to, the smoking area the man had apparently steaked out as his own while on duty.  Sean took a deep breath and forced himself to reguard the other man as a potential source, not a potential friend.  He hated having to make that shift, but lives were on the balance here.  Molly's life was in danger as much as anyone else.

She Gets In Your Blood [19 Apr 2009|07:38pm]
Who: Cath, Open
When: Noonish
Where: Homer's Study

Cath was pacing in front of his desk in the library. Mostly from too much bloody coffee. Mae was worrying him, so he'd been to the coffee shop at least five times this morning for 'more coffee'. Of course, he'd been checking on her, really. She knew that, he knew that, but he had to at least put on the show for everyone else.

Coffee and Cream [19 Apr 2009|09:12pm]
Who: Maeve, OPEN
When: 1 PMish
Where: Cyamites, smell that coffee.

Mae was working. She didn't like working. She preferred to stay at home until the evening when the real world opened up to her. Standing behind the counter of Cyamites - Coffee Bar of Doom - and leaning on it, she had just gotten rid of the last person in line. For the moment anyway. Now she could go back to brooding about how she hated this stupid ship, this stupid job, this stupid apron, these stupid people.

Hell is other people. )

All better, and worse... [19 Apr 2009|09:57pm]
Who: Emily and Leto
When: Around 10:00 AM
Where: The Medical Station

Emily stepped into the medical station and looked around. She was in somewhat of a hurry; her father was waiting for her across the hall in the chapel. There wouldn't be a real church service aboard a cruise ship, but they would at least have an offering of prayers and readings from the scriptures. It was still important to observe the Sabbath, even when lost in the Bermuda Triangle. She wasn't even sure she needed to be here in the medical station, but she thought it would be best to have someone look at her arm and her fingers. Aside from being encased in casts, they felt...normal. No soreness. No swelling. She was worried that she might be losing feeling in her arms, but if that were the case, shouldn't they be numb? It seemed she could still feel the sensation of the casts pressing against her skin.

For some reason, the place seemed almost deserted. Maybe most of the medical staff were taking the day off, after being overworked for too many hours. Those poor people must be exhausted, she realized. But the medical staff's exhaustion didn't mean people's medical problems could wait. It was just a bad situation. Emily took a seat and hoped that someone would come to check her arm and fingers soon.
