DATE: Thursday, December 31, 2009.
WEATHER: Early in the morning it starts lightly raining, but it’s nothing overly concerning. It’s a warm, pleasant rain, and it doesn’t even stop many people from swimming in the uncovered pools.
Later on, at around 5 PM, it starts raining a little harder, with light winds. It makes the waves of the ocean bigger and stronger, but with a ship this large, one can’t really feel the difference.
EVENTS: It’s New Year’s Eve! There aren’t any daytime events, but there will be plenty to choose from once the sun goes down. The various New Years Eve parties all start at 10:30 PM. The two main events are, of course, concerts by Kaz and Muse Trueblood. Kaz is playing the main stage of Cult of Dionysus, and Muse is playing at Circean Delight. Additionally, Tumbler Renegade is playing the pool-side stage on H Deck. The family center is again providing free day care all night long, if desired.
One neat thing people may want to check out is at Apollon Grace. A massive screen has been set up on the stage, and all day long they’re airing coverage of New Years events all around the world.
NOTICE: This game-day is going to have several events that advance the time along. Please do not play scenes that take place after 8:30 PM.

Where: the pool on Arete deck
Res was the sort of person that loved the rain. When she'd crawled out of bed around noon and found it to be raining, she couldn't resist going for a swim. There was no thunder or lightning, so why the hell not? She took the ribbon out of the corset piercings on her back, and threaded the ties of her camo bikini through the rings instead.
There was no one at the uncovered pool when Res got there, so with a bright grin, she took off and cannonballed into the water.

Who: Megan and Ronnie
Where: Cyamites
When: Mid-morning
Megan had about had it already. Niles had taken his usual sweet time relieving out on the balcony this morning. He seemed far more interested in the waves and interesting smells that were around than in the fact that she was standing out there in the rain with his leash in her hand, wearing little more than her robe and slippers. Her breakfast hadn't been nearly as fast as she'd wanted, and her refills hadn't come nearly as often as she'd demanded. Not to mention that it was still raining, which meant she wasn't going to do any sunbathing today.
Giving up on that, she decided to head down to Cyamites. She'd been there a couple of times already and actually been somewhat impressed with the coffee. She went up to the counter, cursing whoever had decided to leave a chair sticking out and ordered herself a Mocha Latte. If the weather wasn't going to cooperate, she figured she might as well catch up on some of her reading. It was a bit of a trick, holding her coffee in one hand, Niles' harness in the other, and a thick braille book under her arm, but she managed it.
"Find a chair, Niles. Chair," she commanded. Niles dutifully did as he was asked, putting his head on a chair once he'd found it. "Good boy." Megan patted him on the head and found the table, putting her coffee down before sitting in the chair and getting her book out. "Down." Niles immediately went down and began investigating a very interesting scent imbedded in the floor. He licked it, but found that it didn't taste very good. Megan opened up her book and began to read, her fingers dancing over the dots as she sipped her coffee.
