So it seemed Jamie was the type of guy that had always ignored Samantha, and paid Savannah all the attention. If she were anyone else, that probably would have given her pause and made her rethink talking to him at all. But Samantha tried to see it objectively. Jamie was not every other jerk jock that she'd run across in her life. At least, she was hoping. And she noticed the regretful tone to his voice, but seeing as how she hated it when people asked about her life, she chose not to make any comment on it. Looking down at her hands, a habit of hers, because she'd gotten back into slightly unfamiliar territory, Samantha said, "Well, I've always thought he was really funny. What's not to like about him?"
