"Oh," Samantha said softly, watching him as he obviously got ready to leave. She hadn't meant that at all, yeah she was a little on edge, but she didn't want to be rude. She supposed she could just outright tell him that it wasn't necessarily him, but then that just seemed like she'd be revealing too much about herself. Or rather opening up the conversation for questions as to why she was like that. Instead she glanced down at the ground, then back up at Jamie, all the while trying to convince herself to say something that might make him stay. Surprisingly, despite her nervousness, she wasn't having too bad a time talking to him. Finally, she just said, "You're not bothering me, I'm sorry if I gave you that impression." And she tried to give him a reassuring smile, but she knew it probably looked more embarrassed than anything.
