"Are you sure?" Samantha asked, chewing on her lip a little as she waited for his answer. She felt bad about, and didn't want to get him in trouble, whether he took the blame or not. Really, he seemed like a nice guy, and if she did wind up distracting him to where he didn't practice enough and he made his band mad, well she'd feel even worse. She played with the hem of her shirt, glancing down at her hands again. Silently she wished that she'd never had her stupid jerk of a boyfriend who had ruined things for her. Maybe then she wouldn't be a nervous wreck all the time.
