As Samantha took the book she felt stupid for not having picked it up herself. She'd just been so surprised. "Thank you," she said softly, looking down at the ground, then glancing up at him. "Are you feeling better though? I get seasick too, well, more like I can't stand the thought of so much water all around me that it makes me sick. I don't know if that's just nervousness or if you'd call it seasick." She was babbling, which never happened, and once she realized it, she clamped her mouth shut and frowned, as if she shouldn't be talking to him. She was so caught up in her own complete nervousness and berating herself about it, she didn't notice the sheepish look on his face.
"I was just enjoying the plants, I don't think it would ruin anything if you stayed," Samantha finally said in a tone of voice her siblings knew all too well as the, 'but I might ruin it if I stay' tone.
