"You're welcome," she replied. She really hoped he found something interesting to write about on the cruise.
His smile made her blush for no discernable reason. "You have a really great smile," she blurted out without thinking. Her face went redder still and she made a face, closing her eyes. "Wow, sorry. Word vomit. I have a bad habit of speaking before thinking things through..." she apologized, looking down as her face burned with embarrassment.
It had been a long time since she'd been around a man who wasn't getting a haircut or sharing her genes...even longer still since she'd been around an attractive one. She'd have to be more careful.

She was too excited about the concept of getting to touch his hair, much less cut and maybe even style it, to consider the fact that she hadn't brought any of her tools on the trip with her. "Hey, yeah, believe me, I know," she replied quickly. "I'm so picky about who can do mine..." she added so that he'd know that she understood where he was coming from on that sentiment. That was when her lack of implements dawned on her. She bit her bottom lip. "I'd have to see if they could let me borrow some stuff from the salon, though," she said apologetically. "I left my stuff at work back on land..."
