He laughed and nodded. "Yeah. That's true, taxis can do as they please," he grinned. "And it would probably be better. I'd probably get into a lot of trouble as a cop, being too slack about stuff. My dad was a hardass, though, so maybe they'd cut me some slack."
He looked her over, noticing she seemed a tad on edge. "Are you ok? You seem scared or something. If you don't mind me saying so," he said, looking concerned.
