"Alright," he said with a sultry smile. He kept his eyes on her as he strummed the first chords of the song. Playing without watching his fingers was something he'd worked to master when he was still a kid. He could still remember his father catching him practicing and smacking him in the back of the head for looking at his fingers. Mother fucker.
He nodded at her guess and replied, "Yep, lead vocals. Lead guitar. I write most of the songs." He wasn't telling her to brag, it was just the simple truth. His expression softened as the music filled his room and then he opened his mouth and began to sing. His voice was as sultry as the smile he'd give her a moment ago.
CJ's eyes slid shut for a moment as he worked into the chorus. He could still vaguely remember the woman he'd originally wrote the song for. Actually it had been just a girl. He'd written the song when he was just 18 but it was still one of his favorites.
