Megan tried to block out the knocking with her ears. It was too damn early for this much noise. "Go 'way," she shouted. "Sleepin'." She tossed her pillow in the direction the door had been the night before, and was a bit surprised to find it bouncing right back at her as it hit the wall. "Th'fuck?" she said as the noise continued.
Niles pawed at the door. He was wide awake and had recognized Mommy's friend's voice immediately. Megan sat up and felt the wall, which when she'd gone to bed had been on the other side of the bed. "What kind of batshittery is this?" she said as she carefully climbed out the other side, dislodging the piece of paper that had been left on her nightstand. Still disoriented, she managed to kick the corner of her dresser as she found her way to the door. "Motherfuck! Shit!" she yelped, half walking and half hopping with her arms outstretched in front of her, trying to figure out where her door was now. "Em? 'Zat you?" she asked as she cracked the door open some.
