Cath chuckled bitterly. "Avenging her murder was the reason I joined the PIRA in the first place," he admitted quietly. "Which makes me all the more cross that the ship presumes to take her place."
He heaved out a sigh. "Here's hoping the ship is trying to protect us," he admitted. "It's easy to assume it's the one doing all the harm. I never thought of it the other way around." It made sense though, with all the healing and returning their things and replenishing the food.
"Thanks, Father," he told him. "Perhaps you ought to make that idea known. This lot needs any hope they can get. Even if they disregard it, it's something for the rest to cling to." Not everyone had faith and truth be told, faith wasn't always enough.
