Jean couldn't really complain, since she had married him, regardless of the place. He would have liked to have his family there, but it wasn't about to spoil the whole thing for him. Not when he was marrying her.
"Of course," he said. "I should've done it sooner, but neither of had the time off. Perhaps we need to be making more time off for ourselves?" It hadn't seemed as important before, but now? It was a good lesson in all of this.
"They'll love you," he assured her sincerely. "I'm sure Nathan gave them a glowing review. And you make me deliriously happy. Which is all they really will care about. And you're irresistible, so they won't stand a chance anyways."
