When Sean started in, Mae actually looked hurt. Maybe because somewhere inside of her, she'd been hoping for something else from a man who shared her father's name. Ronnie she appreciated because apparently he was too dense and kept mouthing something until he actually figured it out.
Unfortunately for Cath, there was no way Mae was going to shut up. Even as the priest sided with them which she appreciated and even gave him a little nod of thanks. "My father - Sean Rowan was at Omagh so don't you even bring up what you don't know. You think just because we've got some letters attached to us and a mission, we're automatically crazed terrorists?" She'd caught the partial word from Ronnie.
"You don't know fucking anything! Sorry Father," she added by learned reflex, "We've been nothing but helpful to your sorry asses. Have we done a damned thing here to make you think we're..." She couldn't even continue. Instead she turned her back on all of them, hiding the fact that all through her yelling, she had been fighting off tears. This is why she hadn't wanted to come. Fuck them.
