On route to the Chapel Sean ran into a young man who seemed to volunteer for things once in a while. His name escaped Sean at the moment.
"Hey, I have a job for you. Remember the safety drills when we started out? Go to all the life boats except the three at the center at either side. Take the ration boxes out. Get help. They're about the size of a large cooler. I want the boxed divided into the three middle boats on either side." The young man nodded and almost jogged off.
There isn't enough people on board to use all life boats. So putting rations in the center boats meant the people in those boats would last longer if they ever had to abandon ship for any reason. God, don't LET there be a reason.
Sean had opened the doors to the chapel as he finished the order and the kid took off. He stepped inside and automatically dipped his fingers into the holy water and crossed himself.
He saw the people present and nodded to them. "Father, Cath, Mae, Ronnie. It's been an interesting morning so far."
He wanted to talk to Ronnie after this meeting anyway. Good thing he was here.
