Chelsea felt that little twinge again when Ella said "At least we have each other, right?", and nearly leaped out of her chair when she'd squeezed Chelsea's hand. Dammit girl, what is wrong with you? You are STRAIGHT!... Aren't you? But Ella was so soft, so friendly, so beautiful... she didn't know what was happening to her, but every moment with her felt wonderful. For the first time since she'd caught her ex and his boyfriend together, she felt a real connection with someone. Something deeper than just friendship, even if she refused to admit it to herself. Something approaching... what? Fascination? Attraction?
She composed herself and moved so that she could transfer to the love seat. Expertly, she managed to maneuver herself next to Ella, her legs dangling from the edge of the cushion. Her legs were touching Ella's, although she had to idea. She shifted slightly on the love seat, giving herself a little extra support at her back, and unconsciously tugged at her t-shirt again before settling in and smiling at Ella.
"Thanks for stopping by. After the whole elevator thing and being carried up the stairs, I was really feeling a little down on myself. I mean, not an emotional breakdown or anything, but... you know?" Chelsea knew what she was trying to say, but was having trouble putting it into words.
