"They were ok, I guess. It's hard to gauge when you're in a box lit only by a red emergency light." She laughed as she moved closer to Ella, parking her chair right next to her. "The room... it's all done up in Pegasuses. Pegasi? Anyways, yeah, flying horses. There's clouds, and when the lights are working there are little LED lights in the ceiling making the constellations. It's really pretty, almost like you're sleeping under the stars." She caught herself staring at Ella's legs. Even in the dim light of her flashlight, she couldn't help herself. They looked so beautiful, so perfect. Not like hers. Bent in the wrong place, all scarred and thin. In fact, right now she thought everything about Ella was perfect. Dammit, girl, what are you doing thinking like this again?
"I was all dressed up for the party tonight, you should have seen it. I had this kind of Gwen Stefani thing going on. Pretty hot, I thought. If you're lucky, I'll do it again sometime." She shifted in her chair a little. "Wish I could've seen you, I bet you looked fabulous." She reached for the arm of the sofa and found herself touching something very soft and smooth. A warm rush went through her as she realized she was touching Ella, and she wasn't entirely sure she wanted to stop.
