Brodie's sigh wasn't a bad one. No, it was, in fact, a very good one, even if he was slightly embarrassed by Jamie's vocalization of his opinion. But more than embarrassed, he was glad his boyfriend thought so, and thus, he smiled, giving Jamie a quick glance as the jock kissed his shoulder.
It wasn't entirely conscious, the turning "me and him" into "we" thing, but it sounded good. It sounded very good.
Also appreciative of how Az was able to get straight to the point - and what a point! - he didn't have a lot of time to think about that because the sheer surprise at what she said was bigger than anything else, any other thought. Which was why, of course, Brodie's first reaction was a dropped jaw and broad eyes. And then the surprises just kept on coming. And coming. Gasping with enormous surprise - not really shock, as it wasn't such a bad thing that called for shock - Brodie ran a hand through his hair and smiled.
His parents had never married, and of course for Brodie the idea was quite out of his plans, but he could understand what this kind of thing meant for the people involved, and it was also easy to understand why they had decided to do this so out of the blue, so fast. None of them knew how much longer they were going to be 'alright'.
"I...um..." Of course he wanted to say yes, even if it was all kinds of weird and even more so since he didn't have a suit. But instead of saying yes right away, he looked to Jamie first.
