The expression on his face almost made her regret having been so sarcastic. Almost. While she wasn’t a person that enjoyed uninvited company, she also had to remember that she’d come out of her room for the sole purpose of trying to meet people. It was the whole point of getting out and doing things without Dylan, and especially without Lucas.
“Don’t be sorry,” she said, shaking her head. “It’s a free country and it’s a crowded restaurant. I don’t mind sharing a table.” She looked over at the empty table now being seated, now occupied by a young couple. The guy was still half-standing as though he were going to in search of a seat, but Andie shook her head. “No, it’s fine. Really, sit.”
Since she felt it was a little rude to keep her book open when she now had company, more or less, she shut it and set it off to the side. “I’m Andie.”
