With the menu set on the table, beneath his forearms, completely forgotten, Slav only barely managed to drag himself out of the world of cars when he heard a girl's voice from not far away. Not far away, it turned out, was across the table, as he looked up to see that he was sitting across from a pretty redhead and hadn't even realized until then.
"Oh!" Slav looked around himself, confused, he'd been sure that had been his table. Wasn't it? But, no, when he craned his head around, he could see the empty table a few places down where he was supposed to have gone. "Sorry, I..." Sheepish with a twist of embarrassed, he pulled up a grin, more instinctive 'I'm harmless, no need to get mad at me' than anything. "I'll," a glance back at his table, and away from the cute girl, showed a pair of people now taking their seats there, and he stopped, mid action, from getting up. "Am I?"
Now that he had nowhere to go, and vaguely remembered that he was hungry, he didn't really want to go back up to the waitress and ask for a new table.
